Sheridan has a long history of being a dominating team in the MVL in almost every sport, and track is no exception. With the team taking home almost all of the MVL titles in the last 10 years. This year is going to look a little different though, as this is the first year the team isdivision 1. Another key difference is that this will be the teams first time competing in two years, as last year’s season was cut short due to the corona virus.
With such a long history of winning, this year is not expected to be any different as head coach Mr. Huffman is confident that this team will win the MVL title. The long distance portion of the team is lead by William Wilke, a well decorated senior runner. The jumpers are led by senior Logan Ranft who hopes to set a new PR in long jump this season, aiming for distance of 23’1″ . While the throwers are led by Justin Winegardner a senior who has been throwing since 7th grade, and myself a third year thrower.
