The 2020 Arnold Sports Festival was held March 5-8 at the Columbus convention center, Ohio Expo Center and other venues around Columbus. Due to a state order regarding Coronavirus,  spectators were not allowed with the exception of parents and guardians of miners competing in youth sports.  The Coronavirus caste a dark shadow over the Arnold Sports Festival as well as a number of sporting events across the world. Those who traveled to Columbus, Ohio were able to participate in the biggest annual showcases.

The Arnold Classic holds many competitions for adults and teens throughout the 4 day festival. There is strength sports, olympic sports, Boxing and MMA, Martial Arts, and the pro strongman series. One of the reasons for its popularity is because of the wide variety of sports and including kids in a wide variety of competitions. A popular sport for kids at the Arnold Classic is cup stacking, Fitness Pageants, High School weight lifting, Speed cubing, talent shows and a hundred more. If your looking for a new sports competetion to watch the Arnold Classic will not let you down.

William “The Conqueror” Bonac from the Netherlands claimed the Arnold Classic title with a win over Dexter “The Blade” Jackson in the 32nd Arnold Classic at the 2020 Arnold Sports Festival. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger applauded William Bonac as the champion received a check for the amount of $130,000. This was William”The Conqueror” Bonac second year in a row winning the Arnold Classic championship.

Gymnastics is a popular sport in the Arnold Classic. This year Paige Calendine, an 8 year old from Zanesville, Ohio competed in the sports festival. “My parents signed me up to gymnastics cause they wanted me to have body strength and then when I started I had a little struggle, but then I started getting better and when we go on these bars we started working on routines” said Paige. Paige is in 3rd grade now and has been competing in gymnastics since only 18 months old. Paige was born without legs but this has never defined her and gymnastics is not her only passion. She sees swimming and archery in her future.

Triple H is a professional wrestler and actor. At the 2020 Arnold Classic, Paul Michael received the lifetime achievement award, after many years of success and he has been the executive vice president of talent.


Triple H received the lifetime achievement award by the man Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Triple H go way back. Triple H actually inducted Schwarzenegger into the WWE hall of fame. Triple H made notable contributions to the fitness industry and offered a lifetime of service to the improvement of sports, performance, and promotion.

The Arnold Sports Festival is the biggest sports competition in the world. Teens and Adults from all around the world come to compete in the Arnold Classic. Even if you are not into sports, the Arnold Classic is sure to grab your attention.
