Riverdale is an American Teen drama television series based on the characters of Archie comics. It is produced by the Warner Bros, and has had three prosperous seasons already. Season 4 premiered Wednesday, October 7, 2019 at 8 p.m. with 22 new episodes on the way. It had 1.14 million total views and a 0.4 demo rating.

So far in season 4 the farm, griffins, and gargoyles have disappeared. Last season we were all left wondering what happened to the farm and all the ‘farmies’. The last thing we saw was they had all “descended” to the kingdom and Kevin was left behind to tell people what happened. In the first episode, we catch a glimpse of Alice Cooper, one of the ‘farmies’ who “descended” and we aren’t sure where she is but all we saw was her crying and reading Fred’s obituary. So we still are not certain on what exactly happened to all of them.

On the left is Fred Andrews(Luke Perry), standing with is son Archie Andrews(KJ Apa).

The new season confronts the death of actor Luke Perry. Luke played Fred Andrews, the father of Archie Andrews, who is played by KJ Apa. Fred had his own business, Andrews Construction, and contributed back to his town Riverdale.  Although Luke died at the end of season three productions, the writers played off as he was merely away on a work trip in the show. The first episode of season 4 is when he is sadly killed off the show. His character was said too be pulled over on the road helping another car in Greendale, when he was struck by a car going way to fast, and had lost control. Archie gets the devastating phone call when he is having a regular breakfast with his friends at Pop’s. When Archie brings Fred home from Greendale, Cheryl had assembled the entire town to honor Fred. In Fred’s obituary, Jughead writes, “His spirit and his memory lives on, in this town and in everyone he has ever met. Fred Andrews will always be a part of Riverdale.”

The new season is already a big hit just with the first episode out. So that means that there are still 21 more episodes in the season for the fans to discover new mysterious. I would highly encourage this show to anyone who likes cliff- hanging mysterious shows.
