“When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go? ” album review.

“When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go?” is an debut studio album, of 17 songs, created by american singer-songwriter Billie Eilish released on March 29, 2019. By far my favorites are: “When the party’s over”, “My strange addiction”, and “You should see me in a crown”.  These three songs fit into different genres, though Billie Eilish is known to not to fit into one certain music genre. “I agree with what you said, Billie is a very versatile singer” stated Willow Hamilton.

“When the party’s over” is quite a slow tempered song, with a downcast feel to it. She mourns over her hurt in her current relationship. Often her music videos are made with many art elements, in this video Billie is seen sitting in an all white room, wearing all white. She has a glass full of a dark blueish black liquid that she drinks and then cry’s out later in the video. Pitchfork said “tearful synths and woozy, Lana Del Rey-indebted crooning”, that’s the perfect way to describe this song.

Her song “My Strange Addiction” is a more upbeat song but still has a glum vibe to it. With lyrics such as “my doctors can’t explain my symptoms or my pain, but you are my strange addiction”, makes you feel the topsy-turvy aspect of her relationship. This specific song does not have a music video made but it does showcase voice actors from “The Office” Netflix series in the beginning.

“You Should See Me in a Crown” is a upbeat, fast pace rapid song with a confident vibe to it with assertive lyrics. Billie has a wild imagination when it comes to her videos, within this video she puts live spiders in her mouth! I could never do that but it was interesting to watch!

Other songs featured in the album are,”!!!!!!!”, “My Strange Addiction”,”I Love You’,”Bad Guy”,”Wish You Were Gay”,”Bury a Friend”,”Goodbye”,”Xanny”,”Ilomilo”,”8″,and “Listen Before I Go”.

My opinion on Billie Eilish’s new album is biased because I love her and will love anything she puts out. It wouldn’t be hard to find interest in her music though, because all of her songs are different. “I’ve never listened to her but you give me a good idea”. I’d give the album a 8.5/10 rating.
