Which Friends character are you?

USA today

Friends is a sitcom about a group of three guys and three young women, all in their twenties. It shows their struggles and accomplishments throughout the show, but it mostly shows how all six of these friends have each others backs. It takes place in New York city. The show aired for ten years from September 22, 1994 and ended May 6, 2004. The show won six Emmy awards.

Monica Geller (Courtney Cox):

Monica is the “mother” of the group. She has a spunky and full of spirit attitude. She is very particular about her belongings, and likes things to always be in order. Monica is a perfectionist. She is an assistant chef at a restaurant in Manhattan, and an extremely competitive person. But she stills loves to be around people.

Rachel Green (Jenifer Aniston):

Rachel is the clueless friend of the group. She is on her own for the first time and is trained for absolutely nothing. As you learn, before she became a waitress at Central Perk, she relied on her fathers money. Even though she is trained for nothing, she has great fashion sense.

Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow)

Phoebe is the friend of the group that has no filter. You can always count on her to tell the truth, or her opinion. Her mother killed herself when she was just a kid so Phoebe was on her own from a young age and knows how to handle herself. She also plays the guitar and gets creative with her lyrics. Thus her songs are unusual.

Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry):

Chandler is the sarcastic friend of the group. He is the person to fill the silence with a joke using humor as a defensive mechanism. He is one that most people can relate to at some point during the show. Chandler’s abnormal childhood has contributed to him having anxiety issues and being awkward around other people.

Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc):

Joey is the charismatic one of the group. When it comes to romantic relationships, Joey could be considered a heart breaker. Although he would do absolutely anything for his friends. Well except sharing his food.

Ross Geller (David Schwimmer):

Ross is the intelligent friend of the group. As a kid Ross was the “golden” child. He can be socially awkward in some situations, especially when it comes to women, but he is the one who can listen. Ross is am emotional person, and is known for his failed marriages.

Friends is not like every other sitcom. It is a show that a multitude of viewers can relate too due to the importance of friends within our culture. What made Friends  such an amazing show is the depth and uniqueness of the personality created within each character.
